China is absolutely right I'm ashamed to admit. We are NOT the rulers of the world and have no right to tell countries what to do. I've said it before and will say it again. I LOVE this country. It's the people in it I can't stand. Particularly the politicians.

Politicians need to give peace a chance and remember that others could end up paying the ultimate sacrifice for their mistakes.

Lets see, 10s of millions cannot afford health insurance, the media is controlled by plutocracy, millions cannot find a decent job, education is becoming un-affordable, our justice system is a sham where the rich get off the hook and the poor go to jail, and we have overthrown more democratically elected governments than anyone else in history and the US of A is going to lecture other countries on human rights issues. WHAT A JOKE! Let's worry about our problems at home before preaching down to the rest of the world.

James They're absolutely correct. The US is in an ever decreasing postion to dictate much of anything and has never held the high road on any of the issues upon which we try to "impress" upon others. Do you know how empires have fallen? Every single one...Reply

However, after many unjustified wars and gradual erosion of civil rights in the "war on drugs", "war on terror", etc. I think we've lost a lot of our moral authroity.

If you deal with the Chinese individually they are quite individualitic. So they would naturally have 4 imes the problems. The Western press only chose to report with bits and pieces of bad news. Because of lack of information except bad news, and with a little racism, Americans tend to generalize that about China. Lets put into the right perspectives. For instance one China earthquake killed 70,000 people, while Japan quake killed 13,000. There were plenty of stoicism and heroic deed but never reported in the West.

We pick and choose which countries to attack on human rights abuses, without ever giving a thought to the abuses we commit. We should end the drug war, the patriot act, and get rid of government by the corporations for the corporations before we open our mouths, and to be sure that we complain equally when we do.

Our uwn human rights record is atrocious ! We hired mercenary troops to get invovled in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and New Orleans after Katrina. 184 Blackwater mercenary's were in the city hired by the Homeland Security Dept act as they wish. The US condems other nations for hiring mercenary's but its okay for us to do it ? The US condems other nations for torture but its okay for us to torture ? There is a double standard here the sooner the American public wake up and understand what is going on, the more we can hold our elected politicians accountable by either voting them out of office and demand no more campaign money money from Lobbyists !
